Symmetrical single-acting hydraulic seals, commonly referred to as U-cup seals, lip seals, or wipers, are designed for dynamic sealing applications in hydraulic systems. Due to their symmetrical lip geometry, they can be installed either as rod seals or piston seals, making them highly versatile in maintenance and repair contexts.
The identical shape and dimensions of the sealing lips on both sides allow for bidirectional installation, simplifying inventory and reducing the number of seal variants required.
These seals are typically manufactured from polyurethane (PU) for increased wear resistance, or nitrile rubber (NBR) for good flexibility and fluid compatibility.
