Bushing for screw compressor BRS 28x35x22

The BRS wear sleeve 28×35×22 is designed for rotary shafts in screw compressor modules as the mating surface for PTFE rotary shaft seals. Mounted directly onto the shaft, it provides an optimal hard and smooth sealing surface that significantly outlasts standard steel shafts.

The sleeve is manufactured from GCr15 or GCr15SiMn bearing steel with quenching treatment. The working surface is plunge-ground to a roughness of Ra 0.2 µm — the value required for correct operation of a PTFE sealing lip. Surface hardness of HRC 60–65 ensures excellent resistance to abrasive wear even at high peripheral speeds.

Installation is thermal — immerse the sleeve in hot lubricating oil (80–100°C) for 10 minutes, quickly slide onto the shaft, and allow to cool completely before fitting the shaft seal.
