Seal for Screw Compressor Module Shaft CDLCCW 20x30x7 PTFE

The CDLCCW shaft seal is designed for rotary shafts in screw compressor modules. It is a dual lip rotary shaft seal (CDL – Dual Lip) in CCW (Counter-Clock Wise) configuration, designed for shafts rotating in the counter-clockwise direction. The dual sealing lip features a hydrodynamic spiral groove that actively pumps media back into the system during operation, providing effective leak protection even at elevated operating pressures.

The sealing lips are made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), offering very low friction and excellent chemical resistance to oils, compressed air, condensates and other media commonly found in compressor systems. The outer housing is made of stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and dimensional stability during press-fit installation.

The CCW rotation direction is critical for correct seal performance — the hydrodynamic spiral groove acts as a pump only when the shaft rotates in the correct direction. Installing a seal with the wrong rotation direction reverses the pumping effect and will result in leakage.
