Pneumatic seal K55 63x12x10

The K55 pneumatic piston seal with dimensions 63 × 12 × 10 mm, manufactured by Kastas (product code: K55-063), is designed for use in standard pneumatic cylinders. The design of this profile is based on a complete double-acting piston concept. It consists of an aluminium body (plate) vulcanized with an elastomeric nitrile rubber (NBR) layer with a hardness of 70 Shore A. The sealing profile features a specific sealing lip geometry that maintains an optimum lubricant film, ensures low friction, and provides smooth reciprocating movement inside the cylinder. Furthermore, special venting passages are integrated into the metal structure to ensure reliable pressure application at the end of the stroke.

This design eliminates the need for additional sealing elements between the piston and the rod, as the static sealing on the inner diameter is achieved directly by the vulcanized elastomer layer. The component is pushed onto the piston rod over the clamping flange and secured by a nut.
