Rod-Piston seal RPS 35x45x8 C0

The RPS type universal seal is characterized by a symmetrical profile with sealing lips of equal length. This construction, combined with the optimized depth of the groove, allows the component to be used as both a rod seal (gland seal) and a piston seal in single-acting or double-acting hydraulic cylinders. The symmetrical geometry ensures even contact pressure of the lips and stable positioning in the housing, reducing friction and ensuring linear movement even at low operating pressures.

The product is manufactured from C0 type polyurethane with a hardness of 94 Shore A. This material exhibits a high modulus of elasticity, low compression set, and enhanced resistance to abrasion and mechanical wear. The RPS seal is suitable for operation in mineral oils and standard hydraulic fluids.

Installation Information:

Prior to assembly of the RPS seal, the groove housing must be thoroughly cleaned, and all sharp edges or flashes must be removed to prevent damage to the sealing lips. Lubrication of the sealing element with system oil or compatible grease before installation is recommended to facilitate easier positioning in the groove and smooth insertion of the cylinder rod or assembly into the cylinder bore.
