Piston seal KGD 70x55x22,4 AE

The KGD 70×55×22.4 AE piston seal kit is a complete sealing assembly for double-acting hydraulic cylinder pistons. The AE variant differs from the standard KGD in that it does not include angular wear rings — the piston must be fitted with separate guide elements within the cylinder. The kit seats in a rectangular groove on the piston.

The assembly consists of three components: a central sealing element in NBR rubber (70 Shore A hardness), two side supports in thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), and two anti-extrusion rings in polyacetal resin (POM). The NBR element features three compact sealing lips on the dynamic side that concentrate load on the cylinder bore surface; the cavities between them retain a thin film of hydraulic fluid, reducing friction and wear. The static side geometry provides a wide contact area at the groove base, preventing rotation and distortion of the rubber element during operation. The POM anti-extrusion rings stabilise the NBR element on both sides and prevent material displacement under pressure. The kit can be installed in a closed groove on a mono-block piston or in an open groove on a two-piece piston.
