Description
The U-Ring K38-35x45x10 PU (also designated as K38-035/2 PU in the manufacturer's catalog) is a single-acting lip seal designed for hydraulic cylinder rod applications. The profile geometry features symmetrical sealing lips of equal length and a deep internal groove, which results in reduced friction during reciprocating linear motion. A distinct structural feature of this profile is the integrated secondary sealing lip located on the dynamic outer diameter. This secondary lip functions to optimize the oil film management, stabilize the seal's positioning inside the groove, and minimize the ingress of external dirt particles from the wiper side.
The product is manufactured from high-grade thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) with a hardness rating of 94 Shore A. This material exhibits a high modulus of elasticity, low compression set values, and enhanced resistance to mechanical wear, tearing, and extrusion under load. The sealing element offers chemical compatibility with standard mineral-base hydraulic oils and fluids. The robust, symmetrical cross-section prevents the ring from twisting within the technical seat, allowing for reliable installation in closed groove configurations.
Technical Data and Dimensions:
- Inner Diameter (d): 35 mm
- Outer Diameter (D): 45 mm
- Height / Thickness (H): 10 mm
- Inch Dimensions: 1.378 × 1.772 × 0.394 in
- Material: Polyurethane (TPU 94 Shore A)
- Operating Pressure (max.): 400 bar
- Operating Temperature Range: -35°C to +100°C (short-term peaks up to +110°C)
- Sliding Speed (max.): 0.5 m/s
Installation Guidelines:
Prior to assembly, ensure that the seal housing and the shaft are entirely clean and free from burrs, metal swarf, or sharp machining edges. To ease the seating process and protect the sealing lips from mechanical damage during insertion, the element should be pre-lubricated with standard system hydraulic oil.
