Oil seal 18x32x10 AS NBR

The 18×32×10 mm type AS shaft seal in NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) is designed for sealing rotating shafts in industrial gearboxes, electric motors, agricultural and construction machinery, and general-purpose drives. The AS profile conforms to DIN 3760 and belongs to the standard class of industrial rotary shaft seals — commonly referred to as oil seals or simmerrings.

The profile features a rubber-covered (elastomeric) outer casing that provides a reliable static seal within the housing bore without the need for additional sealing compounds, while also compensating for minor bore deviations and thermal expansion. An internal metal insert provides the necessary structural rigidity. The sealing lip is short, flexible, and spring-loaded to maintain consistent contact with the shaft surface across varying rotational speeds. The AS profile also incorporates a dust lip (secondary protective lip) that shields the sealing area against light to moderate external contamination.

The AS profile corresponds to Simrit/Freudenberg BASL — the standard industrial oil seal with a rubber outer casing and dust lip.
